What if a genuine ice age has already begun? I mean, what if scientists agreed publicly that it is so, and the media began broadcasting it? Surely, you would see a mass exodus from the northern climes to the southern; our civilization would experience a trauma and readjustment, big time! I want to explain why I believe an Ice Age is exactly what is happening.

The global-warming fraud might be (1) a sincere concern of the greenies, or (2) it might be idiocy, or (3) it might be just politics-as-usual to make a few people richer while destructing our industrial society. I suspect the latter.

A few years ago I read a book by Robert W. Felix, NOT BY FIRE BUT BY ICE, publ 2000ad, in which he makes a scientific case that a new ice age is beginning. I was so impressed with the book that I bought a dozen or so and sent them to friends.

More that ten years ago, while living in Eagle, Alaska, I was noticing occasional articles about increased volcanism on the Pacific Ocean bottom in the tropics region, with resulting warmer temperatures of that ocean water. Then Woods Hole Oceanographic announced that the Atlantic Gulf Stream current had slowed dramatically. Then, more recent years have seen news articles about record breaking cold winters in northern Europe and Britain. Then, the past couple years have brought internet articles about a shortage of sunspots with a warming of our sister planets, like the melting ice cap on Mars. All of these developments work together to start a new ice age. Let me discuss the way I understand it.

Ocean volcanoes in the Pacific tropics increases the surface temperatures of the water, resulting in above-normal evaporation of moisture into the atmosphere. That moisture is mostly carried northeastward across Oregon and Washington State, then across Canada, then across the North Atlantic, then across Europe, then across northern Asia (Siberia). As a consequence, there has been increasing precipitation in summer rains and winter snowfalls across those regions.

The Gulfstream Current of the Atlantic has slowed, apparently to an alarming degree. So what? That current flows northward along the east coast of the US and Canada, then eastward across the North Atlantic, then southward past Britain, France, Spain, and back into the tropics. That current carries warmed tropic waters to the North Atlantic (think Iceland), across which the prevailing winds carry the Canada weather toward Europe. So, the prevailing winds into Europe get warmed by the North Atlantic, making most of Europe habitable and agriculturally feasible. When the North Atlantic is no longer warmed by the Gulfstream current, then the winds into Europe will get colder and colder, and the increasing moisture those winds contain will fall in Europe and northern Asia as increased snowfall. As the temperatures get colder, each year will see a later snow-melt in Spring with an earlier freeze in Fall. If you check the records for Europe during the past five or so years, that is exactly what is happening. This winter of 2009/2010 is breaking last year’s records, and is devastating northern Europe even including France.

An ICE AGE is the exact same process which forms glaciers. Winter snowfall does not completely melt during summer, with the next Fall snowfall adding depth to the previous winter’s depth. In other words, snow stays on the ground through the summer - no more green vegetation! Each year new snow adds to the previous year’s depth, and a huge glacier forms covering the northern latitudes of the northern hemisphere. Europe will soon reach that point where snow will keep the ground covered year around. Woods Hole Oceanographic, a few years ago, said the new Ice Age could begin within five years. Well, it hasn’t happened as quickly as they predicted, but there is a reason for the delay.

Last year the Sunspot activity was nearly nil, nada, zip. Scientists watched in awe. They also watched a warming of planets in our solar system. Amazing! They also are monitoring a decreasing strength of the sun’s magnetic field, forewarning a magnetic-field-reversal which happens about every 12,000 years, just as happens with our planet also. The sun is increasing the warmth of all the planets, slightly, and that is slowing the onset of the Ice Age. But only temporarily! Northern Europe is benefiting from a slight delay, but it is still breaking record cold temperatures and record precip amounts each year. So, it will probably happen to Europe within very few more years, in spite of the sun effect.

Again, I ponder what would happen if this information became news headlines. Europe, Canada, and the northern U.S. states would see a mass exodus southward. Mexico might see an unstoppable immigration movement. Uhhh, I might be wrong about that; they do seem to have effective methods of controlling illegal aliens into their country! And think about all the other catastrophic results of such an Ice Age. The Canadian plains produce huge amounts of grains. Europe and the Ukraine would be unable to produce feed for their peoples. Of course, in time the Sahara might turn green again to become productive agricultural land. As you can see, the world would experience a major readjustment.

The most ominous and personally meaningful warning for us individuals is that the rate of change is apparently exponential. That means if the difference between last winter's average temp and this year's was two degrees, next winter will be four degrees colder than this year. Winter after next will then be eight degrees colder. Such a change would affect our civilization so quickly that mankind could not possibly adjust in time to save itself. It could be that Europe might not see a snow free ground within a couple more years. Agricultural crops would not be possible, and there would be no graze for livestock. The freeze depth into the ground would increase until water lines and sewers would not be possible unless they were in heated tunnels. Lakes would stay frozen.

Well, that is the trend that appears likely for our planet, EXCEPT that God has a plan for His family which will make the coming Ice Age somewhat irrelevant. The Ice Age will happen, but mankind will congregate in the more tropical latitudes just as we did in the countless cycles which have been completed before this one. The regular, half-cycle, 12,000 year reversal of the earth’s magnetic field will probably happen in late 2011 or 2012. This catastrophe will override everything else. The planet will wobble for a brief period, volcanic gas pressures will be released, filling the skies with ash. Earthquakes and tsunamis will reshape continents, sink some mountains and create some new ones. Matthew 24 describes this event. The great majority of our planet’s people will perish; the remaining ones will begin anew from primitive conditions, sans electricity, to develop a new civilization on more spiritual constructs than the prior materialistic ones. We will have a new king: Satan out, Jesus in. No more exploitation of God’s spirit-being sons. Rather, we, the inheritors of God’s vineyard will form a new society with true justice, founded on the Golden Rule, where everyone, including all the other races, get to live happily according to their own racial instincts rather then being exploited by the Jews. It is then that our Lord with the Sword will become the Prince of Peace. But, He must first use that Sword, along with the Fire, to bring this Edomite hell to an end.

"Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord, Jesus Christ, be with all the Holy ones. Amen." (Revelation 22:20, 21)

The western part of Upper Michigan received this huge snowfall in December 2009. This picture was sent to me by an email from a friend, so I don't know whom to credit for it. If snowfall like this doesn't melt away the following summer, then new snow of the next winter makes it deeper until huge snowthrowers cannot cut roadways through it. Think what might happen to the homes! This is how glaciers develop, as the weight of more snow compacts the lower layers into new ice. Northern Michigan will not likely start glaciation now, but it is expected in northern Europe in another two to five years.

April 25, 2010 Addendum: Ice core drilling samples from Antarctica and Greenland, recording temperatures and CO2 for the past 420,000 years, have shown a cyclic pattern of global cooling and warming. Based on those cyclic intervals, the planet is now at peak warmth and about to enter another ice-age. Below are a couple articles about this subject. You might also google the words "global cooling" and find many more articles by scientists who claim we are already in the onset of the next ice-age. The ice-core-samples also showed that CO2 levels always increased about 800 years AFTER the ice ages began, indicating that global cooling causes the rise in CO2 levels instead of the reverse as the politicians claim.  Vostok is an ice core drilling site in Antarctica. Below are a couple articles to consider.

Another point that should be mentioned is this: although the present eruption, April 2010, of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland is relatively minor, the larger Katla volcano is expected to follow it as happened in the past. In 1821 when Katla followed Eyjafjallajokull the northern hemisphere became so frigid that the Mississippi River froze over, almost as far south as New Orleans. Katla's volcanic ash will fill the stratosphere to an extent that sunshine will be severely filtered for many months or years. The agricultural regions of the northern hemisphere will certainly be affected.

WHAT THE VOSTOK ICE CORE DATA SAYS ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING (AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, COOLING)

The graph of the Vostok ice core data shows that the Ice Age maximums and the warm interglacials occur within a regular cyclic pattern, the graph-line of which is similar to the rhythm of a heartbeat on an electrocardiogram tracing. The Vostok data graph also shows that changes in global CO2 levels lag behind global temperature changes by about eight hundred years. What that indicates is that global temperatures precede or cause global CO2 changes, and not the reverse. In other words, increasing atmospheric CO2 is not causing global temperature to rise; instead the natural cyclic increase in global temperature is causing global CO2 to rise.

The reason that global CO2 levels rise and fall in response to the global temperature is because cold water is capable of retaining more CO2 than warm water. That is why carbonated beverages loose their carbonation, or CO2, when stored in a warm environment. We store our carbonated soft drinks, wine, and beer in a cool place to prevent them from loosing their ‘fizz’, which is a feature of their carbonation, or CO2 content. The earth is currently warming as a result of the natural Ice Age cycle, and as the oceans get warmer, they release increasing amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Because the release of CO2 by the warming oceans lags behind the changes in the earth’s temperature, we should expect to see global CO2 levels continue to rise for another eight hundred years after the end of the earth’s current Interglacial warm period. We should already be eight hundred years into the coming Ice Age before global CO2 levels begin to drop in response to the increased chilling of the world’s oceans.

The Vostok ice core data graph reveals that global CO2 levels regularly rose and fell in a direct response to the natural cycle of Ice Age minimums and maximums during the past four hundred and twenty thousand years. Within that natural cycle, about every 110,000 years global temperatures, followed by global CO2 levels, have peaked at approximately the same levels which they are at today.

About 325,000 years ago, at the peak of a warm interglacial, global temperature and CO2 levels were higher than they are today. Today we are again at the peak, and near to the end, of a warm interglacial, and the earth is now due to enter the next Ice Age. If we are lucky, we may have a few years to prepare for it. The Ice Age will return, as it always has, in its regular and natural cycle, with or without any influence from the effects of AGW.

The AGW theory is based on data that is drawn from a ridiculously narrow span of time and it demonstrates a wanton disregard for the ‘big picture’ of long-term climate change. The data from paleoclimatology, including ice cores, sea sediments, geology, paleobotany and zoology, indicate that we are on the verge of entering another Ice Age, and the data also shows that severe and lasting climate change can occur within only a few years. While concern over the dubious threat of Anthropogenic Global Warming continues to distract the attention of people throughout the world, the very real threat of the approaching and inevitable Ice Age, which will render large parts of the Northern Hemisphere uninhabitable, is being foolishly ignored.

Based on the analysis of entrapped air from ice cores extracted from permanent glaciers from various regions around the globe, it has been demonstrated that global warming began 18,000 years ago, accompanied by a steady rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide. Humans are quite likely the cause of a large portion of the 80 ppm rise in CO2 since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, and from a distance, it looks possible that increasing CO2 may cause atmospheric temperatures rise. However, on closer examination it is seen that CO2 lags an average of about 800 years behind the temperature changes-- confirming that CO2 is not the primary driver of the temperature changes.
